Antaeus Theatre Company Announces "Lab Results" Reading Series, featuring "Circle Forward!"

Mark your calendars for Monday, April 4, when my new play “Circle Forward” will have an in-person (YAY!) staged reading at Antaeus Theatre Company in Pasadena, CA.

“Lab Results” Reading Series features brand new works from five playwrights selected from the Antaeus Playwrights Lab. Here’s the synopsis of “Circle Forward:” Seventeen years after the loss of her young husband from cancer, Mia meets a teenager, Ethan, who believes he is the reincarnation of her late husband. When Ethan and his mom Lexi come to Mia's house for lunch, Mia must face her doubts, her past, and the whole truth.

Monologue in "The Best Women’s Stage Monologues 2022"

So pleased that a monologue I’ve written will appear in The Best Women’s Stage Monologues 2022, due out in December, from Smith & Kraus.

The monologue is one from my newest play, “Circle Forward,” which was written in 2021 and featured in the Playwrights Union “First Peek” Reading Series in June 2021. The play was also developed in the Antaeus Theatre Playwrights Lab. I’m so proud to be included in this collection!

Join me LIVE on April 17 for FREE Webinar and Listening Party!

Join me for a free Salon event featuring my one-act radio play “90024: Westwood – “ALL INFORMATION HEREIN IS CLASSIFIED” commissioned by Antaeus Theatre Company as part of their inaugural Zip Code Plays series!

On April 17 at 7:00 pm Pacific time (USA), there will be a FREE live panel discussion (over Zoom) co-presented by Antaeus Theatre Company & The Westwood Village Improvement Association.

We’ll begin the event by listening to the 30-minute play, which will be followed by a discussion with me and Director Carolyn Ratteray, Artistic Director Kitty Swink, and Executive Director of the Westwood Village Improvement Association, Andrew Thomas. Together, we’ll delve into the creative process behind the play, as we learn more about the local landscape and community in Westwood.

Please register HERE for this FREE webinar today !

And if you can’t make it, please join the 40,000 others who have taken a few moments to listen HERE to the radio play — it’s also FREE! Here’s a synopsis: Fresh from participating in her first street protests, 80-year old Eleanor Pender McAdams seems an unlikely subject for an FBI investigation — but who really has the upper hand? This “official file” of recordings and interviews reveals the complexities of standing up for something bigger than yourself in the modern world.

Official Selection 2021 Over The Fence Film Festival in Australia!

So thrilled that “Gratitude Jar Time Capsule” will be included in the upcoming Australian “Over The Fence Film Festival” which will be celebrating its 25th year!

The fun starts in Perth May 6, 7, & 8, and tours the country until November. Once the exact schedule it announced, I’ll post it here. (And privately YEARN to attend in person!)

I had the honor of being the co-writer, co-director and co-star of the film “A Bit of Counseling” which won “Most Popular Film” at the Over The Fence Festival in 2009, so this festival holds a special place in my heart.

Thank you OTF Fest, and congrats on 25 years!

WINNER! Atlanta Comedy Film Festival 2020

So thrilled that our short comedy film “Gratitude Jar Time Capsule” won “Best Comedy Television Pilot” at the 2020 Atlanta Comedy Film Festival!

The festival was chock-full of wonderful and original films, all so entertaining and impressive. My co-creator Stephanie Erb and I were really thrilled to even be nominated, honestly. But to win was such an honor and a thrill! Thanks to everyone involved in making the festival happen during this challenging year, when we need to laugh more than ever.
