Please join me for the final “Says You!” tapings for live audiences in Seattle, WA on Thursday Sept 8 and San Francisco, CA on Saturday Sept 10!

This NPR comedy/trivia show has been beloved for 25 years, and producer Laura Sher has arranged these final two tapings in two of the cities that have loved us best. I’m honored to be sharing the stage with the Says You! All-Stars, including Carolyn Faye Fox, Murray Horwitz, Barry Nolan, Joyce Kulhawik, and Tony Kahn!

In Seattle, we’ll be performing/recording at the recently renovated Town Hall starting at 6:30 pm on 9/8. Seats still available HERE!

In San Francisco, look for us at the beautiful Herbst Theatre at 5:00 p.m on 9/10. Seats still available HERE!

Hope to see you there (but if you can’t make it, you can always find the edited shows in a month or so, wherever you find your podcasts, or at SaysYou.net)!

Semifinalist in the 2022 Lanford Wilson New American Play Festival

So proud that my play “Call Time” is a Semifinalist in the 2022 Lanford Wilson New American Play Festival. The festival honors new American plays that provide dynamic performance opportunities for college-aged actors.

In “Call Time,” a group of misfit drama kids break into their abandoned high school auditorium in search of one last night of connection, hope, rhymes, and Fritos. This 90-minute, 7-character play was originally written as part of the Playwrights Union New Play Challenge in 2019, and was a Semifinalist in the 2019 Ashland New Play Festival. It’s available to read for members of New Play Exchange.

Monologue in "The Best Women’s Stage Monologues 2022"

So pleased that a monologue I’ve written will appear in The Best Women’s Stage Monologues 2022, due out in December, from Smith & Kraus.

The monologue is one from my newest play, “Circle Forward,” which was written in 2021 and featured in the Playwrights Union “First Peek” Reading Series in June 2021. The play was also developed in the Antaeus Theatre Playwrights Lab. I’m so proud to be included in this collection!

Virtual Reading of Jihan Crowther's New Play "LIONS" at Boston Court Pasadena Theatre!

I’m so excited to be acting in “Lions” (by Jihan Crowther) at Boston Court Pasadena on Saturday Sept 18 starting at 10 am PDT. It’s FREE, and virtual, so you can watch it from the comfort of your own pajamas if you want! Register HERE for the free link.

Here’s the synopsis: At a possibly haunted party, Wallis, the world’s worst hostess, attempts to entertain her guests—one of whom is hellbent on commandeering her home before the night is over. When unexpected secrets surface, the party takes a startling turn. Soon everyone is forced to choose sides as the chaos inside begins to reflect the turmoil brewing outside.

And I get to play Wallis! It’s a very intense and engrossing new piece, and I’m honored to be a part of it. Don’t miss this new play by my brilliant friend (who also happens to have been a writer on “The Underground Railroad” and “The Man in the High Castle”). Please support this wonderful theater, and join us.
